Summary
CD Calculator Free has no accounts and no sign-up. Everything you type stays in your browser; nothing is sent to us. We do not set our own cookies and we do not run analytics scripts. We may show ads from third-party vendors, including Google; the advertising section below explains how those vendors use cookies and how you can opt out.
What happens on your device
- The deposits, rates and terms you type are calculated in your browser and are never saved or sent. The site stores nothing in your browser’s local storage and sets no cookies of its own.
- The Copy results button writes only the result text to your clipboard, and only when you press it.
- Print opens your browser’s print dialog for the current page. Nothing is uploaded.
- A service worker keeps a copy of the pages in your browser cache so the calculators work offline.
- No analytics run on this site.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. To deliver pages and keep the service secure, the hosting servers receive and log standard request details, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, the referring page and your browser and device type. We use this information only to run and protect the site, and we do not combine it with other information to identify you. See Vercel’s privacy policy for how the host handles these logs.
Cookies
CD Calculator Free does not set its own cookies. Cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, may be set by third-party vendors that would serve ads on this site if ads are shown, as described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools on this site do not need cookies to work.
Advertising
We may show ads from third-party vendors, including Google. If ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- If we work with any ad network other than Google, we will name it and link to its opt-out page here before its ads appear.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent through a consent message before cookies or similar technologies are used for personalized advertising, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time. If you do not consent, any ads shown are non-personalized or limited ads.
Links to other websites
Links to other websites take you to sites with their own privacy policies. We do not control them.
Children
The site is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the site’s practices change, for example if we add analytics or a new ad network, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
