Results depend on your inputs and your institution
Results depend on the numbers you enter and on the terms of your account: how interest is compounded and credited, when it is paid, fees, and how early withdrawal penalties are worked out. Check the account disclosure from your institution.
Tax is not modelled
Interest is shown before any tax. The site does not work out tax on interest.
Rounding
Money is rounded to the cent and rates to 3 decimal places for display, so totals can differ from a statement by a cent. The rules are on the methodology page.
No relationship with any financial institution
CD Calculator Free is independent. It has no relationship with any bank, credit union or broker, and it has no paid or referral links.
